Another wedding weekend.

We´re off to Sevilla for a wedding.
I´m a little tired of the whole wedding thing. It´s not so much the actual party, which will be fun, and I love the bride and groom, and wish them all the best, naturally.
But I can´t help feeling that this rush of weddings is inevitably leading to a rush of other weddings, and then it will be baptisms, and first communions and who knows. It´s the law of life, I know, but I kinda miss the old days, when a party was just a party, and you brought a bottle of vodka, not an engraved cut-glass decanter.
O well.
At least I have a good chance of having the best breakfast in the world. I´ll let you know on Monday.

It was all very weird when I entered my 20s and found everyone around me getting married and having children and so forth. They would constantly talk about wedding preparations and baby food, so all I could do was sit back and pretend to care, but like your situation, it wasn't for lack of interest in the couple, just lack of interest in having to hear about the same old stuff.

Enjoy the party. I love the drawing!

Hey, thanks for the comment. I love your drawings. I'm working on illustration myself now, and yours inspire me to practice, practice, practice.

We went to a wedding on the weekend also. It was supposed to be a spring wedding, but the weather turned into this awful mess of both winter and autumn, with torrential rains and gale force winds.
Although it it made for a day we will never forget!

I know what you mean, we have 4 weddings to attend this year and we had 5 last year!

I guess you are right! After weddings come the other pieces of celebration. I never thought about it under this light but it is so true!

Hi Ximena - I agree, sometimes life seems to rush by - and it gets worse as we get older!

Here's hoping that the 'best breakfast in the world' made its appearance!

Nonsettle: that´s cool, thanks
Jenjen: it rained in my wedding too! but only a little
Bea: It just hit me yesterday...A long long line of celebrations to come
Gilly: it did, thank God, or I´d be checking into a mental hospital with Peter Pan syndrome.

Me apasionan tus dibujos pero los que se basan en el color rosa, más. Por algo es mi color favorito.
